There will be loose parts play, Playtalkread will be there also!..water play, cardboard city, Street Arts, drumming and food!
Come along and join in Daisy Chain’s community PLAYDAY. This is the second year we are running a playday and if last year is anything to go by it is set to be a big success! This year we have taken a focus on what parents used to play when they were little. We will have the traditional games from of hop scotch, kirbie and skipping alongside those from families who grew up in other parts of the world such as Pakistan, Romania or India.
We will also have loose parts, den building and there will be our very own BEACH!! with water! so come prepared with a spade and a towel!

Come along and celebrate play at Fife Council’s National Playday Event on Wednesday 2nd August at Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline from 12 noon to 3pm.
This free event will include lots of fun filled activities for all the family from babies to adults and includes: den building, messy & sensory play, arts & crafts, woodland play, Play Talk Read bus, Play on Wheels, loose part play, treasure hunt, sports & games, bicycle rides, family adventures walks and much more!
An afternoon of play at Baxter Park, everyone welcome. There will be a number of agencies supplying different types of play, including loose parts, messy play, games, arts and crafts, and much more……
Aberdeen Play Forum is a charity devoted to promoting the child’s right to play in Aberdeen. This year we will be celebrating National Play Day in Union Terrace Gardens, providing activities such as: Loose Parts Play, Inflatable Obstacle Course, a variety of nature crafts, sensory play, and much much more! There’s no need to book or pay, just come along and play!
We are welcoming families to join us for a picnic in the North Edinburgh Arts Centre gardens (or inside the gallery if it’s raining!). After a bit of picnic food we will then play some classic Licketyspit games from our Playcard range. We encourage all adults to join in with the games and play alongside their children.
Our Playday events theme is Magic!!
There will be a children’s entertainer providing a show for families which is interactive and full of fun.
Before the Magic Show takes place, families can get involved in a shared art experience, designing the set of the magic show and making wands!
